A slippery customer fled from a Tesco branch after stealing a basket full of cooking oil.
The thief was seen walking down one of the aisles with his greasy loot.
He had picked up £1.99, one-litre bottles of Tesco’s Pure Vegetable Oil from the shelves.
He also had other cooking oils in it.
Two members of the supermarket staff watched on helplessly.
He paused to pick up a bottle of red wine on his way out and made no attempt to pay.
The shoplifter then calmly walked out of the Tesco Express on King Street, Southall, west London.

He walked one way up the street before doubling back on himself down the main road.
The cap-wearing man – also clad in green combat trousers and a grey jumper – then darted down a side street, as reported by Need To Know.
Locals slammed the brazen stealing and think more should be done to stop them.
One stunned shopper filmed the theft on their mobile phone in a 36-second video.
Marie Hurst said: “It’s a joke.

“It has to stop it would save money to employ three huge bouncers.”
Paul Douglas added: “Should lock the doors then common sense.”
Derek Renshaw fumed: “England is finished.
“True story.”

Matt Plumley joked: “If you steal stuff you get a bonus basket for life, winning.”
The Met Police and Tesco have been approached for comment.
