The horror moment was captured on CCTV.
The dog ran straight for the man who jumped off of his motorcycle in a panic.
The pitbull bit the seat of the motorbike, and proceeded to run at the man before it clamped its jaw onto the bottom of his leg.
As a result, the man immediately fell to the ground, as the dog continued to aggressively attack him.
Another motorcyclist directly behind the victim watched on in horror and desperately tried to keep out of the dog’s way.
From the side of the black 4×4, a man who was inside the vehicle ran to the scene and intervened.
He grabbed the dog and tried to pull it off of the motorcyclist who was still on the floor.
Breaking the fight up took a short while, and the man eventually dragged the dog back to the car and placed it in the backseat.
The man who was attacked remained on the ground in the clip which was captured today (17 Mar) at 8.35 am, in Taipei, Taiwan.
He was later taken to a hospital for treatment, and the incident was reported to the police.
On 6 March, a similar incident occurred with the exact same dog, as reported by Need To Know.
A 60-year-old man was sitting on a motorcycle waiting for a red light, also in Taipei.
In a video captured by what appeared to be another car’s dashcam, the pitbull launched itself out of the car window.
It brutally attacked the man, and he ended up on the floor just like the motorcyclist did today (17 Mar).
Police intervened after the attack, and the dog’s owner was said to be shocked that the pitbull had jumped out the car’s window.
It is not known how the dog escaped from the car on both occasions, however, it is being explored that the dog may have been able to press the window button.
Local authorities and animal welfare officers are said to be investigating the case.
