Wetherspoons has been hailed for having top-quality TOILETS.
The budget pub chain is renowned for having its toilets up huge flights of stairs.
But its boozers scooped a staggering 786 gongs at the Loo of the Year Awards 2024.

Among its top bogs were those in The Stargazer at The O2, in Greenwich, southeast London.

It has huge stars around the mirrors in the washrooms.
Another that came up trumps was The Silver Penny in Dublin.

The Bobbing John in Alloa and the Yr Hen Dderwen in Carmarthen were winners too, as reported on Need To Know.


The George Hotel in Bewdley and Jolly’s Hotel in Broughty Ferry, were commended, too.
Wetherspoons pubs and hotels received four diamond awards, 237 platinum-plus awards, 530 platinum awards, 14 gold awards and one silver award.
Martin Geoghegan, operations director, said: “Staff at our pubs and hotels ensure, at all times, that the toilets are in excellent condition.

“And it is great that this has been recognised by inspectors.
“Offering customers clean and well-maintained toilets is of utmost importance to us.”
The loos are judged on their décor, maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand-washing and drying equipment, safety and overall management.
There are over 900 Spoons pubs and hotels across the country.
