A ‘headless horseman’ has been spotted galloping along a quiet street in eerie footage captured by a CCTV camera.
The chilling video, which has attracted 5.5 million views online, showed the moment the figure appeared out of thin air.
Faint sounds of the horse galloping along the street can be heard getting louder.

But despite parts of the road being visible due to street lighting, the horse and its rider are nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, a blurred silhouette comes into focus.
What looks like a horse with a man riding on its back appears to be travelling at speed.
They were only visible for a few moments before disappearing into the night.
According to local press, neighbours in the area have been left baffled by the encounter, as reported by Need To Know.
They have said that the galloping sounds heard were real but that there was no animal visible in the street at the time.
And there was another element to the CCTV that gripped the attention of viewers.
On the right side of the street, a person can be seen sitting on a ledge.
They remain in the exact same position throughout the duration of the footage and do not appear to not react when the ‘horse’ and the ‘rider’ pass by.
The video was filmed in Tetecala, Morelos, Mexico, on 1 April at approximately 12.51 am.
Since being shared last week, the clip has received over 455,000 likes and more than 3,900 comments.
Kathy said: “Who’s that just sitting there and didn’t see when the horse passed?”

Another person said: “Zoom in to the last light down the street, there’s no shadow.
“You can’t even see the horse/man until the last light, who can explain that?
“And the person sitting had no reaction.”
“The horse looks without skin like a horse already decomposed with only bones,” added a third viewer.
Ivan said: “If you notice, the horse comes out from the shadows, there is no indication that it came from behind.”

“But if it’s almost 2 am, what’s a man doing sitting there? I don’t understand,” Alma added.
