A gold bar estimated to be worth £8,000 was discovered lodged inside a young boy’s stomach.
It’s believed the child, aged 11, digested the 100g block while playing at home.
An X-ray confirmed it was lodged in his digestive tract.

According to local reports, he didn’t show any signs of pain or vomiting and swallowed the object out of curiosity.
He was later taken to hospital for surgery after being unable to expel the gold bar on his own following two days of laxatives, reports Need To Know.

After a 30 minute operation, it was successfully removed – and intact.
Currently, the boy’s condition is unknown.
