An elderly woman was thrown off of a plane after claiming that she had a bomb.

The pensioner joked that she carried an explosive to a flight attendant.

She was approached on the flight by an officer before take off, who requested that she disembark the aircraft.

Michael Iasut, a passenger on the plane, filmed the elderly woman grabbing her belongings.

She stepped away from her seat without causing any commotion, and cooperated with the officers and staff.

Michael filmed her walking down the aisle of the plane and out of the door as other passengers remained in their seats.

As the Batik Air flight prepared to depart, the OAP spoke to a flight attendant and said she had brought a bomb on board with her.

The cabin crew member immediately carried out the standard operational procedures, as reported by Need To Know.

They alerted the pilot and aviation security officers who investigated the woman immediately.

As a result, the plane was delayed for two hours.

It was discovered that the elderly woman did not carry any explosives including a bomb.

After being thrown off of the plane last Tuesday (15 Apr), she was handed over to the PPNS (Civil Servant Investigator) and the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police for further handling.

The plane was flying from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, Indonesia, to Sam Ratulangi International Airport, Manado, North Sulawesi, also in Indonesia.

Danang Mandala Prihantoro, the Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, said she had been blacklisted by the airline.

He said: “A female guest passenger who sat in seat 11E was known to deliver a statement containing a threat element, namely admitting to bringing a bomb to one of the cabin crew.

“No items in the form of bombs were found.

“Batik Air also set internal sanctions in the form of blocking (blacklist) against the person concerned.”
