A motorist has been caught watching TV on his phone behind the wheel whilst driving down a busy road.
Matt Cadman – a passenger in a passing car – couldn’t believe his eyes after spotting it.
The distracted driver had propped her phone up behind the steering wheel to watch it.
Matt said: “Literally couldn’t believe what we saw driving home on the A40 westbound near Greenford.
“A woman watching TV whilst driving.
“Can we see some action on this extremely dangerous behaviour?”
He also told Need To Know: “It is one thing putting your own life at risk, it’s another putting a number of drivers around you at risk.”
“My ambition here is to prevent deaths through selfish actions like this.
The bizarre moment was filmed on the A40 westbound near Greenford, west London.
The woman was behind the wheel of a 2015 Hyundai I30 on a 30mph road.
According to the Highway code road safety and vehicle rules, police can stop you if they deem you are not in control of the vehicle due to being distracted.
Drivers stopped by cops for this can be prosecuted.
The shocking moment was captured on Sunday evening (20 Apr).
The Met Police has been approached for a comment.
