‘I tried new 2025 skincare and have your must haves – from plumping moisturisers to LED masks’

As a skincare fanatic – I love to try all new, unique and special treatments, and have the best ones for you this Summer.

For the last three months I have tried and tested moisturisers, serums, toners, mists and even an LED light mask and can tell you which ones I will definitely be keeping.

LED Mask

For part of this piece, I wanted to try something truly wild to me, and see if an LED mask really makes a difference.

I tried out the Silk’n LED Face Mask 100 – which costs £160 to purchase and has red, blue, yellow and purple lights.

And I will say, just one month into trying I was amazed.

Starting off slow I used the mask once a week, then twice, then thrice and have stuck to three times ever since.

Straight away I was a fan of the warm feeling, relaxing light and comfort that the mask has.

Since using as so, I have recognised a reduce in redness, slight glow and an improvement to my skin hydration – leaving me feeling soft and buttery after just 10 minutes.

It is a huge recommendation of mine and would tell any other skin care lovers to give it a go, though it is at a hefty price, it is completely worth it.

MOOD BOOSTING SKINCARE

Here I tried out Wellosophy, a brand for holistic wellbeing encouraging self-care rituals, with a selection of moisturisers, toners, eye creams and face mists.

From left to right, I tried the cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream and face mist – and I’m not looking back.

I have loved the moisturiser and cleanser so much that I have recommended to family and friends to order, and now, my sister is a huge fan.

Now almost out, I have used the cleanser every evening, which has left me feeling soft and moisturised – something I think other cleansers do not do.

The moisturiser and eye cream have been heaven – so gentle on the skin and a little goes a long way, though I have already ran out of both.

And the mist is the perfect touch to finish off my routine, I also sometimes use it midday if I have no make up on and as a pre-sleep relaxant.

Their range prices from £12.99 to £35, and for me, as someone who loves an affordable skincare item – it is completely worth it.

Ella & Jo

Next I tried a skincare brand that builds on the popularity of the “clean girl aesthetic.”

Intrigued… I couldn’t say no to giving it a go.

I tried the Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum and Plump & Protect moisturiser.

To begin with, I was hesitant about trying these products as I have never gotten along with Hyaluronic items before and for me, the moisturiser felt a little bit too scented.

However, after a gym session and a long shower, I decided it was time to try something new and thicker than what I would usually go for.

And wow was I impressed.

The serum practically immediately sunk into my skin and the moisturiser? It is thick but doesn’t make you feel coated.

They sell for £40 (Serum) and £34 (Moisturiser) and are completely worth it.

The products also last a long time and are an easy routine for someone looking to keep it fresh but simple.

Spa Ceylon

For the big finale, Spa Ceylon, a wellness brand for mood-enhancing beauty.

Shenuka Fernando, Skin and Wellness expert at Spa Ceylon said:  “We will continue to widely celebrate Aromatic Herbs like lavender, ylang-ylang, and frankincense, for their ability to reduce stress, uplift mood, andpromote relaxation, making them key components of mood-enhancing beauty.”

Their wellness ranges include balms, mists, and carefully curated rituals – all crafted to soothe the mind and body.

And I will admit, it works wonders.

I tried out their de-stress dashamula body treatment oil and it was something like I had never experienced – to work it you heat the oil in a warmer and apply the liquid all over the scalp and body.

I then massaged this all over my body for long, slow strokes and it left me feeling ready to unwind after a tough day at work, and relax.

Secondly, I tried their sleep intense body elixir, something easier than the oil and quicker to put on to relax before bed and again, the ylang ylang calmed my mind and body while the coconut soothed my skin.

If you’re looking for night time body care – from the prices of £6 to £70 – this brand is for you.
