A “surgery addicted” model has been left unable to open her eye after getting it tattooed neon green.
Mary Magdalene is no stranger to quirky inkings and body modifications, but her latest venture has gone drastically wrong.
Having already had one eye tattooed black, in her bid to achieve a “mutant hybrid apocalyptic otherworldly goddess” look, Mary decided to get her other eyeball inked – this time opting for a dramatic neon green colour with yellow tones.
But instead of a funky new look, things soon turned awry, with excess yellow ink leaking and ‘clumped’ in the corner of her eye – as well as staining the skin surrounding it.
“Right now I still can’t fully open my eye,” Mary, who lives in Toronto, Canada, told Need To Know.
“My eyeball is fully bruised, bloodshot and swollen.
“The yellow stain was a complication from the ink – I’m probably going to have to see an ophthalmologist for surgery to drain some of the excess ink from the eye.
“There’s a big clump [of ink] in the corner that isn’t spreading – it’s like it’s stuck there.”
Mary’s original plan had been to incorporate green and yellow tones on her eyeball to create a “psychedelic effect” – the latest in a string of inkings and body modifications she has undergone.
She has reportedly had several Brazilian butt lifts, lip injections, nose jobs, cheek transfers and extreme tattooing, and last year pursued a ‘blackout’ tattoo – covering herself in black ink.
The adult content creator and artist estimates she has spent a huge $500,000 on altering her looks – and she has no plans to slow down, at least when it comes to tattoos.
She said: “I have a breast reduction planned soon, and then my goal is to mostly be done with surgeries.
“Then I’ll just continue with my tattoos and other modifications, like getting my tongue split, [more] body implants, pointed ears – stuff like that.”
