The hair-raising moment a falling tree missed a passing motorist by a split second has been caught on camera.
The tree snapped halfway up its trunk, sending a number of thick upper branches tumbling onto the road below.
CCTV footage showed the driver of a white car turning onto the street from a roundabout.

Immediately after the vehicle passed the tree, the large section snapped from the trunk and plunged onto the road.
The near miss took place in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at about 9:10pm on Friday (1 August) night.
The obstruction caused the road to be closed until the following morning, as reported by Need To Know.
Firefighters arrived on the scene with chainsaws to chop up the thick branches.
The dissected tree was loaded onto a lorry, and the immediate area was cleared before the road reopened to the public.
The authorities confirmed that no one was injured by the falling branches.
The city council is investigating what caused the tree to collapse.
