A feisty alligator was wrestled out of a swimming pool by an officer who then strapped the reptile into the back seat of his car.
Bodycam footage showed the cop calmly reaching into the water and using his bare hands to wrangle the “super mad” animal.
St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said the gator was later “safely relocated to a nearby pond”.

Deputy Nathan Richardson received a call on 25 July from someone reporting an alligator in a swimming pool.
Richardson used the pool’s skimmer to drag the young gator to the pool’s deck before grabbing it by its neck as it writhed on the pavement.
“I gotcha, you’re fine. I know, you’re super mad,” the deputy told the alligator as he brought it under control.
The gator eventually complied with the officer and Richardson buckled the beast into his police car, as reported by Need To Know.
Residents were in awe of the officer’s confident handling of the creature.
“Florida grown at its finest!” a man can be heard saying on the video.
The incident occurred in St Augustine, Florida.
