It is unclear if he was run over by another vehicle in the chaotic moments after the collision.
The model was killed in São Paulo, Brazil, as reported by Need To Know.
According to the police, the sweeper truck was parked in the left lane of the highway to “unclog the suction equipment” and had “the appropriate warning lights on”.

The workers were “preparing to return to the cab when they heard a strong impact at the rear of the truck”.
They then saw the victim lying unconscious in the middle lane just a few feet away.
The truck driver said JP “swerved to avoid another vehicle in traffic and ended up colliding with the rear of the street sweeper”.
He immediately called the emergency services.
The driver was breathalysed at the scene and the results came back negative for alcohol consumption.
The police said JP was already dead when they arrived and that the truck was parked in the same position as the time of the accident.
Investigators also said the model may have been hit by another vehicle after falling into the road.
A spokesperson said: “Given the position of the motorcycle, the victim’s body, and the injuries observed, the possibility that the victim was struck by another vehicle after the crash cannot be ruled out.”

The truck belongs to the utility contractor Ecoss Ambiental, which provides street cleaning services for São Paulo.
The city council confirmed that truck sweepers operate in the city every Wednesday and Saturday night.
They confirmed that the workers were unclogging the vehicle’s suction equipment at the time, a process that lasts “between three and five minutes”.
The truck had two flashing rotating lights and an illuminated panel with an arrow indicating lane change when the accident happened.
The investigation is ongoing.
JP was married to Li Martins, a singer and former member of the girl band Rouge.
They met on the Brazilian reality show ‘A Fazenda’.
They had a young daughter together.
On their social media, the couple recently posted photos of them wearing wedding outfits ahead of their big day scheduled for November.
JP regularly shared photos of him riding his Harley Davidson on Instagram for his 280,000 followers.
As well as modelling, he also worked as a TV presenter.
