A popular TV presenter has died after mistaking the symptoms of a heart attack for a common cold.

Emilio Sueños – who was also a model – reportedly suffered heart failure caused by excessive testosterone use.

A cardiologist later found that Emilio’s heart had become enlarged from the hormone injections he’d been taking following a botched cosmetic procedure.

At first, the 33-year-old believed he had a cold, but his condition quickly deteriorated and required urgent medical attention.

According to close friend Ivanna Melgar, the days before his death were “especially difficult.”

She said: “From one moment to the next, he started coughing and couldn’t breathe.

“He sent me audio messages saying it wasn’t the flu, but that he simply couldn’t breathe.

“He used sick and stressed emojis on his WhatsApp statuses.”

Emilio, a fans’ favourite on Ecuadorian TV, was rushed to the Guasmo Sur General Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on 1 October and placed in intensive care.

Doctors diagnosed him with an inflamed heart caused by excessive testosterone, as reported by Need To Know.

Ivanna explained: “The problem worsened because he injected the hormone into his arm and not his buttocks, due to the presence of biopolymers in that area.

“His heart couldn’t hold up, and one of his lungs was also damaged.

“They gave him blood transfusions, but they turned into water.

“They tried to get the hormone out of his body, but they couldn’t.”

Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to the star, describing him as a dedicated, cheerful and hardworking professional.

Emilio was also known as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community in his hometown of Guayaquil.

RIP. I bet he was pretty before he let “beauty doctors” assault his lips. Also why did he took testosteron? Was he gay man or transman?
