Doctors were left stunned after a man complaining of stomach pain was found to have a wristwatch, nuts and bolts lodged inside his body.

The 34-year-old was rushed to hospital by worried relatives after suffering severe tummy ache and struggling to eat or drink.

Medics were shocked when scans revealed a watch stuck in his oesophagus, along with iron fragments, nuts and bolts trapped in his large intestine, as reported by Need To Know.

Doctors initially tried to remove the items using endoscopy, but were forced to perform a three-hour operation to get everything out.

The objects – including the watch – were taken out through a small incision in his abdomen, with gory footage showing the moment surgeons pulled them free.

The man was admitted to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur, India, on 9 October.

Thankfully, he is now said to be recovering well after the stomach-turning surgery.
