A woman has revealed how she’s called “disgusting” and told to “cover up” at Halloween because of her costume choices – but says nobody can stop her or her curves.
Alex Aspasia is well-known for her body positive attitude, where she embraces her figure no matter what.
Especially at Halloween.
The 31-year-old, who has been dubbed a “whale” in the past, often sports tight-fitting costumes, including a “sexy” rabbit and cat.
This year, she’s planning to dress up as a staff member of the controversial restaurant chain, Hooters, with booty shorts and a low-cut, skin tight t-shirt.
And while she’s now got the confidence to wear whatever she wants for the spooky holiday, that’s not always been the case.
“[I’ve been called] disgusting and told that I should cover myself completely,” the size 26 model, who is 6ft tall and weighs 385lbs, told Need To Know.

“It’s a mixed reaction at parties and online.
“Some people really like my confidence and the outfits and how they accentuate my curves.
“Others say big girls should never attempt to be sexy and just stick to the ‘funny’ Halloween costumes.
“Or that I should wear something ‘more appropriate’ for my size.
“I’ve even gotten mean looks in person.
“The hate doesn’t make me want to hide [anymore].
“It makes me want to keep going.”
Alex, who hails from Miami, US, will be jetting off to Las Vegas for a spooky bash on the 31st.

She’s urging other plus-size women not to shy away from wearing whatever costume their heart desires this Halloween.
She added: “Big girls deserve to feel free and confident in their bodies.
“We deserve to have fun, to feel beautiful and to enjoy a night out like everyone else.
“So go ahead and put the costume on.
“I want to show that plus-size women can wear whatever.”
Alex previously hit headlines after revealing that she’s on the hunt for Mr Right.
And while she’s had many suitors, there’s been a recurring issue – a lot of men are “too ashamed” to be seen in public with her.
