A woman who saw the life she was living and the one that was planned for her in a “review” when flatlining three times has revealed the important message she was given to return with.

Norma Edwards is no stranger to death.

On two of her three occasions, she’s “crossed over” into another realm, where “otherworldly” beings greeted her – and, ultimately, sent her back to Earth.

Each time, the reverend was given one vital message to return with: life is eternal and that death isn’t the end; it’s a new beginning.

“I found myself in a very dark tunnel, darker than anything you can imagine,” she told Need To Know.

“But I wasn’t afraid.

“I was travelling at the speed of light, and then I saw what looked like a rainbow with colours I had never seen before.

“As I got closer, it shifted into crystal clear white light.

“It was so brilliant, I thought it might hurt my eyes – and then I merged with it.”

Norma’s first encounter with death happened when she was in her 20s.

She was on her way to work when she collapsed and flatlined.

Norma said: “The doctors told me I had a dead foetus inside of me that had been poisoning my body.

“Then I passed out, and the next thing I knew, I was on the ceiling looking down at my body on the operating table.

“The pain was gone.

“I wanted to tell them I was okay, but no one could hear me.

“As doctors and nurses fought to revive me, I was propelled into a journey beyond death.

“There are no words to describe the joy, the bliss and the love I felt.

“In merging with the light, I became love itself.

“I came to a huge television screen – larger than anything built on Earth – and my life began to scroll across it.

“It showed three columns; the first was the life I planned before coming to Earth and the second was the life I actually lived.

“And the third was the result.

“Each time, it said: ‘Objective not accomplished.’

“I laughed at the sight of my life literally flashing before my eyes.

“But, once the visions faded, I was transported to a river, where hundreds of familiar souls waited for me on the other side.

“Among them stood my beloved aunt.

“She stepped into the water to meet me – and I did the same – but just before we touched, she stepped back and said: ‘I’m so sorry, they’re not allowing you to say. They’re sending you back with this message.’

“It was that there is more to life than meets the eye – and that it’s eternal.”

Instantly, Norma was pulled back into her body.

She said: “It was painful.

“Like trying to pour a galaxy into a teacup; my spirit is huge, so when you force that energy back into a small body, it hurts.

“My senses were heightened, and coloured appeared as music, with radios pulsing with light.

“I could see inside people’s bodies – I thought I was going crazy.

“When I walked under bulbs, they would blow.

“I couldn’t explain it.”

Her second brush with death happened in November 2024.

Norma, who lives in Maryland, US, had suffered a cardiac arrest early in the morning.

She urged her husband to call for an ambulance immediately, where she flatlined.

The 80-year-old said: “I knew exactly what was going to happen.

“The tunnel, the other side, I was about to reach Heaven.

“But they brought me back just before I got there.

“And then I flatlined again.

“This time, there was a female presence; I think she was an angel.

“She guided me just in case I got into my head that I was going to stay.

“Of course, when I arrived, I thought it was all over.

“But they gave me the exact same message I had the first time.”

Norma was not only reminded that life is eternal, but that she still had much more work to do on Earth.

She said: “I was told that half of my mission had only been accomplished.

“We’re stuck, locked in fear.

“It’s my job to release that, so people can be rebirthed into awakening, raise frequencies and get on with life.”

Now, she works in senior communities, offering comfort and perspective to those nearing death.

Norma added: “I don’t fear death, because I know it’s not the end.

“That’s something my near-death experience taught me; the soul doesn’t die.

“It’s impossible to put into words the joy, radiance and peace I felt when I merged with the light.

“In that moment, I wasn’t just surrounded by it; I became one with it.

“After my first experience, I was overwhelmed with grief.

“Not only for the loss of my baby, but also for the aching separation from the divine light.

“The wholeness I felt on the other side made my return even harder, leaving me with a deep longing for what I had once touched.

“For years, all I wanted was to go back.

“I saw my loved ones there, I know they’re waiting, and I know I’ll experience immense peace, joy and unconditional love [when I get there].

“But, deep down, I also know I’m still here for a reason.

“I’ve found my greatest blessings in the lives of those I’ve served.

“Their struggles and triumphs have offered me invaluable wisdom – and have shown me a glimpse of God’s grace.

“I tell the people I work with to give thanks for breath each morning.

“As long as you have breath, you have the greatest gift in the world.

“And when the time comes to leave, know that there is no death – you are just leaving the body behind to live a more expanded life on the other side.

“I’m grateful for my experiences.

“We come here to learn, to love and to grow.

“There is nothing to fear but fear itself.”
