A woman has shared how she’s spending Christmas single and alone – and says she doesn’t need a man to keep her company or buy her gifts.
Hayli Hooper has splashed out thousands on herself for the festive season.
The 39-year-old, who has been single for the past seven years, used to spend the big day with her two dogs: Nooshi, a Maltese and Shitzu cross, and Mika, a Maltese and Terrier cross.
Sadly, two years ago, both of her pooches passed away and she’s been left spending the holiday by herself ever since.
And even though she’s tried to look for Mr Right, she’s not bothered when it comes to Christmas, as Hayli believes being alone is “better than being with a man”.
“If I’m honest, not having a partner means life is more fun,” Hayli, who boasts 59,000 followers on Instagram (@haylihooper ), told Need To Know.

“I don’t have to cook for anyone else, or have the stress of buying somebody a gift they’d really like.
“Instead, I always buy too much food and spend days eating leftovers.
“And, present wise, I get to splash out on treating myself.
“I don’t need to wait for a man to give me gifts.
“I’ve spent the last seven years single, so that’s seven Christmases down, and a lifetime to go.
“I love being single – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Except for if my dogs were still here.”
Hayli, from Western Australia, used to spend thousands on her furry pals at Christmas.

She would do anything and everything she could to make the holiday magical for them, as they were like her children.
The nurse and model said: “It’s lonely without them.
“I couldn’t get puppy pictures with Santa one year, so I actually bought all the costumes and decorations myself.
“I asked my best friend to come over and we all staged a Christmas Santa photo in my house, because it was their last one.
“Gosh, I would spend everything on them.
“I had the cutest little Christmas outfits and I would give them charcuterie boards of all the treats.
“I would spend the morning cuddling them in bed and then we’d go down to the beach or the dog park before eating heaps of food.
“Their company was a million times better than any man’s would be at Christmas.”
Now, with thousands amiss to spend without her pooches, Hayli has decided to spend the money on herself instead.

This year, she’s bought herself a $15,000 (AUD) (£7,432) week-long holiday to the USA and the Bahamas.
And last year, she got herself a Kawasaki Ninja motorbike, costing $3,000 (AUD) (£1,486), as well as a Louis Vuitton bag priced at $5,000 (AUD) (£2,477).
She added: “Other than myself, I only have my parents to buy for now.
“So I’m left with a lot of money spare.
“I’ve definitely gotten a lot more extra with the gifts I buy myself.
“And people have said they’re jealous of my lifestyle and that they live vicariously through me.
“Others said the money should go to other things – but I work my ass off and I have no one to spoil me, so I don’t feel guilty about splurging on myself.

“I deserve it.
“My dogs were my world, and without them, I’ve got to do something to keep me cheerful at this time of year.
“People think it’s loneliness – but it’s not.
“It’s peace; solo Christmas is where it’s at.”
Hayli previously revealed how she “intimidates” men with her confidence while out on dates.
She believes men need to “grow up” or stop complaining.
