An influencer suffered horror burns to her face after taking part in a birthday cake challenge.
Arlen Hernández suffered second-degree burns while carrying out the viral trend.
The flames also scorched her hair, eyelashes and eyebrows.

Arlen, presenter of the podcast ‘La Patrona’, ended up in hospital on her birthday.
The online challenge involves blowing flammable powder onto birthday candles to create an impressively large flame.
The influencer, who comes from the Mexican city of Chihuahua, successfully tested the process several times before carrying it out in front of birthday guests.
Participants should blow horizontally so the flame swells in the opposite direction.
But she blew the powder at a near vertical angle and the flames shot up into her face.
Arlen said she is still recovering from her ordeal and remains under medical evaluation, as reported by Need To Know.
Doctors haven’t ruled out the possibility of lasting damage to her eyesight as the flames came perilously close to her eyes, she said.
The influencer added: “I hope this video raises awareness because you need experts around if you want to try something you saw on the internet, no matter how wonderful and easy it looks.
“Yes, we need experts everywhere, and we should listen to them.
“And in the case of the fire, thankfully I didn’t have any helium balloons nearby, because someone could have got hurt.”
One fan said: “I admire your courage for posting this, especially the reason you’re doing it. I hope you recover soon.”
“I would recommend not doing things you see on the internet,” added another.
