The driver of the Audi slammed on their breaks to avoid a crash.
The Fiesta then veered to the left before careering out of control and smashing into the barrier.
The motorist miraculously managed to regain control of the hatchback and pull over to the side of the A312, in Yeading, west London.
Fellow drivers reacted with shock at the near disaster last Wednesday (10 Dec), as reported on Need To Know.
Ayesha Subhani said: “They had a lucky escape.”

Summayyah Hussain added: “Oh my gosh.”
Louise fumed: “Looks like they were tailgating the two cars, decided to overtake without mirror, signal, manoeuvre.
“And had to swerve to avoid the car on the outside lane, because they misjudged or didn’t look.”
One added: “B*oody scary.
“I hope everyone is okay.”

Another said: “Why did no body stops to ask if everything is okay with the driver?”
Rash Rishi quipped: “Spider fell on his head.”
