A model has revealed she was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma after struggling with a persistent cough.
Runway model and influencer “Yi Li Xiao Sha Zi” began coughing in late 2025, alongside armpit lymph pain and rib discomfort.
At first, she turned to traditional Chinese medicine, including acupuncture and herbal remedies, but saw little improvement.

On 1 January, after two months of continuous coughing, her rib pain became so intense that she rushed to A&E, fearing a broken rib.
A CT scan revealed lung shadows and enlarged lymph nodes under her armpits.
Following doctors’ advice, she underwent a full-body examination, confirming stage 3 nodular sclerosis classical Hodgkin lymphoma.
She has now paused work and started chemotherapy.
The model, whose real name is Xu Yisha, told her 11m+ followers: “At first, I was reluctant to go to the hospital.
“I thought I was still young and nothing was seriously wrong – I could push through. I never expected it would come to this.
“I want to remind everyone not to stay up late, take care of your body, and stay safe and healthy.”
Xu, 30, rose to internet fame in 2021 after a viral dance video.
From Wenzhou, China, she was a top student at Zhejiang Gongshang University, as reported by Need To Know.
She began a career in live-streamed sales in 2022 and became a mother in June 2024, giving birth naturally to a healthy baby boy weighing 6lb 13oz.
She wrote at the time: “No morning sickness, no stretch marks, skin stayed great, all check-ups were perfect.”
Though coughing and rib pain are unusual lymphoma symptoms, experts say nearby lymphoma can sometimes invade the bronchus or pleura.
Her fans have been sending an outpouring of well-wishes.
