A cancer influencer has tragically died at 21 after a six-year battle with a rare form of the illness.
The blogger, known only by her online nickname Xiaofei, passed away in the early hours of Monday (16 Mar).
Her sister, Ms Fei, told local media that Xiaofei had been diagnosed six years ago with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma – a rare, aggressive soft-tissue cancer that arises from skeletal muscle precursors and most commonly affects adolescents and young adults in their limbs or trunk.

Following the diagnosis, Xiaofei moved between multiple hospitals, undergoing three surgeries under general anaesthesia, 18 rounds of chemotherapy, 30 radiation sessions on her right hand, and 25 on her right arm.
Despite the gruelling treatment, she remained optimistic, sharing her medical journey online and inspiring her fans with her strength.
“So what if it’s cancer? I only have one golden youth,” she once wrote.
Xiaofei – from Anhui, China – posted her first video in September 2021, and her recent farewell letter has touched tens of thousands of people, as reported by Need To Know.
“I don’t think my leaving will come like a raging storm; it will be quiet, like a leaf gently falling from a branch,” she wrote.
“I may have regrets and things left unsaid, but as I write these words, my heart is at peace.
“I have lived in this world with gratitude and contentment. Even when life seemed unfair, I kept fighting for every day, for every breath.
“To my family, relatives, friends, fellow patients, elders, acquaintances, and the medical staff – I am truly grateful for every connection and every moment shared with you.
“You have made my life vibrant and full, and I hope your lives are just as rich, peaceful, and happy.”
Xiaofei is also survived by her parents, her brother-in-law, her little niece, and her friends.
Her sister said: “She was always strong and brave, and lived a truly remarkable life.”
