She publicly advocated for improved access to cancer diagnostics and treatments in Poland.
The 34-year-old passed away last Friday (13 Mar).
She was diagnosed with cancer after a preventative ultrasound revealed over 30 tumours in her liver.
Specialists recommended palliative chemotherapy with a prognosis of three months to live.

Aleksandra, who worked as a paediatrician, researched possible treatments for bile duct cancer and alternative therapies that weren’t available in her native Poland at the time.
A live transplant in India offered hope and an online fundraiser was launched.
She raised around £302,570 (PLN 1.5 million) in 36 hours.
Nearly 30,000 people supported the fundraiser.
Aleksandra, known online as Paediatrician Ola, underwent the procedure in February 2024.
She was given the all-clear later that year.

She wrote the self-published book ‘Look, I’m Still Alive’, which was well-received by readers.
Aleksandra also frequently appeared in the media, highlighting issues related to diagnosis, therapy, and pain management in Poland.
In one TV interview, she said: “Above all, I want to improve the quality and availability of healthcare, including access to specialists and shortening waiting times.
“As for my primary disease, bile duct cancer, I would like genetic testing and targeted treatment.”
Aleksandra moved to Spain in spring 2025.
A few months later, she learned that the cancer had returned.
She got married to her long-term partner two weeks before her death, as reported by Need To Know.
Aleksandra passed away in Spain “without pain, peacefully, and surrounded by her loved ones”, her family said.
Her funeral took place at the Municipal Cemetery in Lubaczów in Poland.
