A popular football influencer and Netflix casting director has tragically died aged just 33.
Aelton Silva dos Santos, known online as Aelton Santys, was found dead at his home on Monday (30 March).
The much-loved figure had built a following of more than 34,000 on Instagram, sharing his passion for football and life in Brazil.

As well as being a devoted fan of Esporte Clube Bahia, he worked behind the scenes on major film and TV productions.
Aelton was also known for championing better representation for black people on screen, as reported by Need To Know.

In 2023, he said: “When kids on the street see me on TV or doing an advert, they say ‘I want to be like you, I want to be on television, how do you become a model?’
“It’s important to have a role model from the neighbourhood, someone who came from there.”
Originally from Salvador, Brazil, he regularly posted content about his beloved Bahia football club.
Following his death, the club paid tribute to one of its most dedicated supporters.
A spokesperson said: “We deeply regret the passing of Aelton Silva dos Santos at the age of 33.
“We send our condolences to his friends and family during this time of great sorrow.”
Aelton worked as a casting director with DS Models on major productions filmed in his home city.
His credits included films such as Ó Paí and Carnaval, as well as the Netflix series Santo.

He also worked as a model and appeared in smaller acting roles.
Police have said no foul play is suspected in his death, which has been registered as suicide.
Aelton leaves behind a wife and a son.
He was laid to rest at Brotas Cemetery in Salvador on Tuesday (31 March).
