A reckless driver has ploughed their Audi into a ramen restaurant, with a woman rushed to hospital.

The full front wall was caved in during the bizarre incident closing the restaurant until further notice.

The black Audi ploughed through the front of Ippudo Ramen Bar on Essex Road, Islington, London, as reported by Need To Know.

The crash took place around 10pm on 17 April with the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service called to the scene.

At the time the Audi was left inside the restaurant with its hazards on.
