Six members of the same family have tragically died in a head-on collision with a lorry.
The car – carrying a couple, their three children and the woman’s mother – crossed into the opposite lane, according to the lorry driver.
The bodies of all six occupants were found in the wreckage of the Fiat Palio, along with the family’s pet dog, which also died in the crash.

The lorry driver, 36, was uninjured and remained at the scene in the early hours of Tuesday (21 Apr) until police arrived.
The deceased couple have been named as José de Ribamar Rodrigues dos Santos Filho, 49, and Maria Cíntia Cavalcanti dos Santos, 39.
Their children were Júlia Raqueli Cavalcanti dos Santos, 15, Isaac Valentim Cavalcanti dos Santos, 10, and João Murilo Cavalcanti dos Santos, three.

The children’s maternal grandmother has been identified as Solange Pereira Cavalcante, 59.
The accident happened on the BR-251 highway in Salinas, Brazil, as reported by Need To Know.
The couple and their children had been living in Nova Canaã since December 2025, after years in Itapecerica da Serra.
They had left the latter on Sunday (19 Apr) and were travelling to Nova Canaã when the crash occurred.
The couple’s other daughter did not travel with them and said in a video that she had fallen asleep and, on waking, received the “tragic news”.
Solange – a housekeeper – had been living in Itapecerica da Serra but had recently bought a property in Delmiro Gouveia for retirement.

A niece described her as a “cheerful, happy, hard-working, strong-willed woman”.
She told local media: “My aunt was happy to be going back to where her relatives were – she really wanted to return here.”
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The victims will be laid to rest in Itapecerica da Serra.
