A Brit has been left devastated after a neighbour’s e-bike burst into flames and torched his garden just days before a mini heatwave.
Levi Lee woke up to a nightmare as a raging fire ripped through his outdoor space, sparking huge flames and even explosions.
The 35 year old leapt into action to get his wife and two children to safety, all while still in his pyjamas.

From inside the house, the graphic designer watched in horror as one of three camping gas bottles in the garden exploded, shaking the entire property.
“It was like a movie,” Levi, from Kempston, Bedfordshire, told Need To Know.

“We evacuated the house as quickly as possible dressed in our sleep clothes.
“Three camp fire gas bottles were in the garden which exploded – one exploded while I was still in my house.
“It was devastating seeing my garden ruined after the hard work me and my wife put into it.”
The blaze was sparked when a neighbour’s e-bike is believed to have spontaneously combusted, with the flames quickly spreading into Levi’s garden.
The family had been looking forward to hosting their usual summer BBQs but those plans have now gone up in smoke.
The fire broke out on the morning of 26 April.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with firefighters tackling the blaze while police kept neighbours at a safe distance.
Paramedics also attended to check over the shaken family.
Levi said: “All emergency services turned up rapidly, the fire brigade put out the fire with haste while the police tried to keep all the neighbours at a safe distance, which allowed the paramedics to assess my wife and the neighbour who were very shaken by the whole experience.
“We usually would have a BBQ every summer, inviting friends, family and neighbours.
“We probably won’t be able to do that this year due to the damage and the time it will take to restore it all.”
