Shocking CCTV footage shows Alex, 44, smashing into the side of a car after the driver attempted to turn at a junction.
He was catapulted off the bike and hit the tarmac hard.
His helmet came off as he skidded for a short distance in Maringá, Brazil, as reported by Need To Know.
Alex had travelled about 3km (2mi) when the collision occurred, leaving him unconscious and in cardiac arrest.
Paramedics spent around half an hour attempting to resuscitate him at the scene, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
The female driver, who was alone in the car, was taken to hospital with a head fracture. Her condition has not been released.
Alex lived in Atalaia, where he owned the event planning business Banda Fonte Luminosa. He leaves behind two children.
The footage suggests the driver may have failed to give way, but also suggests Alex may have been travelling too fast.
The accident remains under investigation.
