A mum of three died after being bitten by a deadly snake just days after sharing a touching message about her children online.
Darling Hércules, who was known for her strong Christian faith, was attacked by a highly venomous Bothrops asper near her home in northern Honduras.
The deadly snake – often dubbed the “ultimate pit-viper” because of its size, huge fangs and powerful venom – was reportedly lurking close to her property in the village of La Jutosa.

Family members and neighbours rushed Darling to a medical centre after the bite, but she tragically died from complications on June 26, according to Need To Know.
In one of her final social media posts, shared only days before her death, she posted photos of her three daughters alongside the message: “Everything God has given me is beautiful.”
Friends and relatives have since paid emotional tributes to the devoted mum, who ran a small business and was known locally for her warm personality and unwavering faith.
Loved ones said she was often seen smiling while preparing food, including fried chicken, and regularly shared religious messages online.
One relative, Karen Melgar, wrote: “Cousin, you have left a void in our hearts, God has you in a better place.”
Another, Melki Miranda, said: “Rest in peace, niece, we will miss you.”
A cousin named Daysi shared a video of Darling at work alongside a biblical passage from Thessalonians and the message: “We will always carry you in our hearts.”
The exact circumstances surrounding the snakebite remain unclear.
Experts say such encounters often occur when snakes are accidentally disturbed during everyday activities such as cleaning, gardening or moving objects around homes.
The tragedy has reignited concerns about dangerous snake encounters in rural communities and has left three young daughters without their mother.
The Bothrops asper, known locally as the barba amarilla, is regarded as one of the most dangerous snakes in Central America and can cause severe injuries or death if antivenom is not administered quickly.
