They now tackle the difficult task of getting his body back to the UK.
“Please help if you can, this lad was my step son, a kind caring lad who loved the party vibes,” said Jake’s stepmum, Nicki Duffield, in her heartbreaking tribute.
“Jake had been part of my life since 2010, and I watched him become the lovely man that he was.”

Friends and family have rallied to support the family with pub landlord Paul Sandford, from Dereham, setting up a fundraiser on their behalf.
He said: “The news has left everyone who knew and loved him completely devastated.
“Our immediate priority is to bring Jake home to the UK, where his family can finally have him close and give him the farewell he truly deserves.
“Unfortunately, the costs involved in repatriating someone from overseas are significant, and we are reaching out to our community for help during this incredibly difficult time.
“Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards the costs of bringing Jake home and easing some of the financial burden on his heartbroken family.”
Jake died last Friday (3 July) and the GoFundMe since has already raised more than £23,000 to give him “farewell he truly deserves”, as reported by Need To Know.

Paul added: “Your support, kindness, and generosity will mean more than words can express.
“On behalf of Jake’s family and friends, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support.
“Let’s bring Jake home.”
