Locals watched in horror as a huge mud volcano erupted and sent thick sludge flowing through fields, dragging cattle to their doom.
Videos captured the sudden blast sending rivers of mud crashing through nearby fields.
The towering column of thick sludge blasted skyward and streamed down the slopes.

Farmers stared helplessly as livestock vanished under the surging mud tide.
The authorities ordered people to stay clear as firefighters and risk teams cordoned off the danger zone and began pulling animals free.
The dramatic outburst hit the rural Molinillo area of San Pedro de Urabá in Colombia’s Antioquia department yesterday morning (11 Aug).
Officials confirmed no people were hurt and no homes were destroyed, as reported by Need To Know.
Yet several cows were swept away and some fields were left buried under the thick mud.
The local mayor’s office said: “Families in nearby zones must stay alert for any change or new signs of activity and follow the authorities’ instructions.”
A technical commission was sent to check the full scale of the damage.
Residents were told to prepare emergency kits, keep family members together and not approach the site to film or take photos.
The blast came just one day after a powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the country.
Experts said any link to the earthquake is still under investigation and not yet proven.
Geologists called the feature a mud diapir, which pumps out clay, water and gas under pressure but never lava or ash.
A similar mud flow hit a nearby area earlier this year.
Officials warned the ground could shift again without warning.
