A beauty queen has died suddenly on her 26th birthday.
Putri Andriani Juficha, known by her nickname Pijey, died on Friday (14 August).
She was crowned Miss Earth Indonesia 2025 and was runner-up in the Miss Grand Indonesia 2025 pageant.

Miss Grand Indonesia wrote: “With deepest sorrow, the Miss Grand Indonesia Organization mourns the passing of Putri Andriani Juficha, Runner-Up Miss Grand Indonesia 2025.
“You were more than a titleholder. You were part of our Grand family, a beautiful soul whose grace, strength, and spirit touched so many hearts.”
Pijey, from Manado, was also a model and singer who released several singles online, including a song titled “Mati Saja”.
Outside the world of beauty pageants, Putri had a strong academic background, as reported by Need To Know.
She graduated in Communication Studies from the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business in Jakarta in 2022 before going on to study law and reportedly pursuing a master’s degree.
She was also involved in various environmental initiatives, including campaigns to reduce waste, preserve rivers and educate people about the importance of protecting the environment.
At the international Miss Earth 2025 pageant – held in Manila, the Philippines – she won the special Best Social Project award for her environmental advocacy.
Following her participation in beauty pageants, she was also invited to serve as a judge at the Miss Culture International pageant.
Her cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. However, unconfirmed reports have suggested that she may have suffered a heart attack.
Miss Grand Indonesia added: “Although your journey with us has come to an end far too soon, the memories, love, and light you shared will forever remain in our hearts.”
