A Nollywood star has died aged just 26 – days before she was due to celebrate her newly-built home with a housewarming party.
Nimmy Ferrari, whose real name was Adesanya Nimota Omotolani, had recently finished building the property in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria.
But instead of gathering there to celebrate her achievement, devastated loved ones attended the same compound for her funeral.

Nimmy’s death was announced by friends over the weekend before her younger sister confirmed she had passed away, as reported by Need To Know.
Unverified reports claimed the actress had undergone fibroid surgery before becoming unwell.
However, no official hospital statement has been released confirming her cause of death.

Nimmy was an actress and social media influencer with more than 310,000 followers on TikTok.
She worked in Yoruba Nollywood, the branch of Nigeria’s film industry producing movies primarily in the Yoruba language.
The rising star had been preparing to hold a housewarming party at her newly constructed home before her sudden death.
She was instead buried on the land there on Sunday.
Nimmy was considered a rising name in the industry, with acting credits including World Famous, Olowosile, Omo Agba, Iran Keta, Awari Ogo and Orisa Para.
She also ran Nimmy Ferrari Productions and was known for filming street vox pops alongside other actors.

In a tragic twist, Nimmy had recently paid tribute to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, following his death in late August.
One fan wrote: “She paid tribute to Ogogo after his demise, and now she’s gone.
“After all her hustle, and now that she’s beginning to get recognition, death took her.”
Actors including Victoria Kolawole, Dada Tolani, Jigan Babaoja and Biola Adekunle have also shared condolences following her death.
Nimmy’s exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed.
