A young footballer has died after a deer smashed through the windscreen of his BMW in a freak road accident.
Oskar Kordus, 20, was hit in the face after the animal was struck by an oncoming car and hurled into his path.
His BMW then left the road and rolled into a ditch.

The defender was airlifted to hospital but died later the same day.
The horror crash happened on the Gostyń bypass in western Poland at around 6am on Monday (21 Sep), as reported by Need To Know.
A 52-year-old Volkswagen driver had struck a roe deer after it ran onto provincial road 434 between Krajewice and Grabonóg.
The impact reportedly sent the animal flying onto the opposite carriageway and through the windscreen of Kordus’s BMW.
Prosecutors said the young footballer had no time to react.
Witnesses began performing CPR after discovering he was not breathing.
Gostyń firefighters said: “On arrival, one casualty had no vital signs.
“The other person involved was unhurt.
“Firefighters started CPR.
“After the ambulance team arrived, vital signs were restored and the casualty was flown by air ambulance to hospital in Poznań.”
Despite efforts to save him, the Gostyń district prosecutor’s office said Kordus died at around 10.30pm on Monday.
The Volkswagen driver was unhurt.
Kordus played as a defender for Kania Gostyń in Poland’s fourth tier.
He had joined the club from Korona Piaski at the start of the season and had already made seven league appearances.
He started against Pogoń Nowe Skalmierzyce on Saturday and had also featured against Ostrovia 1909 earlier this month.
Kordus made 26 league appearances for Korona Piaski last season and had previously played at youth level for Zagłębie Lubin and Warta Poznań.
Kania Gostyń paid tribute, saying: “It is with great sadness and disbelief that we received the news of the death of our player, Oskar Kordus.
“On behalf of the entire Kania Gostyń community we offer his family, loved ones and all his friends our deepest condolences.
“In these extremely difficult moments, we stand with you in pain and are with you in thought and in heart.”
His former club Korona Piaski added: “Yesterday, in tragic circumstances, Oskar Kordus left us.
“He was a product of our club from his earliest years.
“Rest in peace.”
Prosecutors are treating the case as a fatal road accident.
Funeral details have not yet been released.
