A “puppy parade” organiser faces a fine after kinksters were seen crawling across a protected sand dune.
Legal proceedings have been issued against a kinky community after videos of the outing were shared on social media.
The group was seen donning pooch masks and crawling over the roasting hot sand during a fetish pride event which took place between October 1 and 12.

Members of the Masaplomas Fetish Pride in Gran Canaria could be seen sporting latex and rubber in the sunny holiday hotspot, where temperatures continue to hit 25C at peak times.
The pack were taking part in a form of LGBTQ+ fetish roleplay which sees adults walk around like dogs and bark or seek strokes from their “owners”.

The programme for the 9-day festival included countless puppy-themed outings, including pool parties and “cruising” nights; however, it’s not been established if the dune walk was part of their official itinerary.
At the end of the festival, organisers wrote on social media: “What an incredible 12 days!
“As Maspalomas Fetish Pride 2026 comes to an end, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s festival such a wonderful celebration of our community.
“With over 90 events, three title elections and a record number of supporting venues across 12 days, this year’s Fetish Pride has been something truly special.

“From leather, rubber, sportswear and puppy play to pool parties, boat trips, workshops, social gatherings and unforgettable nights out, Maspalomas has once again become a meeting place for our wonderfully diverse international fetish community.”
Officials have noted that the legal proceedings are not concerned with the group’s choice of attire, but with access to a restricted natural conservation area.
The council is seeking an undisclosed fine against the organisation rather than individuals involved, according to environment councillor Raúl García Brink.
Brink said there were plenty of opportunities to see the dunes were restricted after 182 new information signs were recently installed.
He reminded locals and tourists that the dunes are a protected natural area, and that enforcement would continue to protect it.
