Rowdy Argentina fans were spotted torching a Union Flag instead of a St George’s Cross during their team’s dramatic win over England in the World Cup semi-final.
During the same celebrations, fans were also seen brawling with chairs as the party atmosphere turned ugly.
The fiery scenes erupted in the city of Gregorio de Laferrère in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, as jubilant crowds celebrated their country’s last gasp win over England.

The reigning world champions came from behind with late goals from Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez to book their place in the final against Spain.
In one clip, rowdy Argentina fans were seen burning a British Union Flag instead of a St George’s Cross.
A supporter held aloft the torched UK flag to a large crowd of chanting fans in Argentina’s colours.
Another clip showed a brawl breaking out in the street among Argentina fans in the same city.
As the festivities turned violent, several people were seen trading blows in front of shocked onlookers.
One dazed man was knocked to the ground after a chair was hurled at his head.

The ugly scenes followed Argentina’s advancement to the World Cup final for the second tournament in a row.
Lautaro Martínez headed the winner in the 92nd minute from a cross by talisman Lionel Messi, as reported by Need To Know.
Argentina now face Spain in the World Cup final on 19 July.
