A jilted teen who massacred four members of his ex-boyfriend’s family in a revenge rampage before killing three dogs and setting their home ablaze will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Miguel Diego Sandoval, now 21, has pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder over the brutal attack.
Prosecutors said Sandoval was furious after his relationship ended and carried out the killings as an act of revenge, as reported by Need To Know.

His ex-boyfriend, who was the brother of two of the victims, was allegedly Sandoval’s intended target, but was not at the property when he struck.
Instead, Sandoval waited outside the family home in California, US, until the occupants had gone to bed before entering.
He then shot his ex’s siblings Janvi Maquindang, 21, and Christine Aca-ac, 25, as well as their partners Edwin Garcia, 24, and Matthew Montebello, 21.
Sandoval, who was 19 at the time of the attack, then set the house on fire before fleeing, killing three family dogs trapped inside.
A 16-year-old girl who was also inside the property managed to survive after locking herself in a bedroom and calling 911.
The four victims have since been remembered by their devastated loved ones.
Janvi was described as a bright and successful young man, while Christine was remembered as a loving sister who helped care for younger members of her family.
Edwin, who was engaged to Christine, had aspirations of becoming an educator.
Matthew was described by his family as curious and driven.
Sandoval later admitted to the killings, which took place in November 2024, and pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder on Thursday (13 August).
He also pleaded guilty to attempted murder, residential burglary, arson, animal cruelty and child abuse charges.
Sandoval further admitted special circumstances including multiple murders and murder by lying in wait.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman described the massacre as a calculated act of violence.
He said: “The defendant was jilted when he broke up with his boyfriend and then did something unimaginable when he killed four innocent people.”
Sandoval is due to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on 17 November.
