A 25-year-old woman suffered a horrific scalp injury after her hair became caught in the rotating mechanism of a giant wheel at a fair.
Bali Maroti Talikote was riding the Ferris wheel when her hair became trapped in a bearing behind her seat.
The ride was reportedly spinning at high speed when the accident happened.

Her hair was violently pulled into the mechanism, tearing away a significant portion of her scalp.
Talikote screamed in agony, alerting horrified fairgoers who rushed to help.
The incident happened on Friday (11 September) during a one-day fair held for the Tanha Pola festival in Mahagaon, Yavatmal district, Maharashtra, India.
The fair had attracted large crowds of women and children from surrounding villages, with many visiting to seek blessings at the Puneshwar Mahadev Temple.
Police officers stationed at the fair quickly intervened after the accident, as reported by Need To Know.
Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Ambhure and Police Constable Suhas Kayte, assisted by local residents, managed to stop the rapidly spinning ride.
Talikote, from Phulsawangi, was then removed from the Ferris wheel and taken by ambulance to a private hospital in Pusad for treatment.
Reports said her condition was serious.
The incident comes amid ongoing concerns over the safety of fairground rides in India.
Five thrill-seekers were injured when a chair swing ride suddenly toppled at a theme park on 28 May.
Footage shows the spinning ride tilting before crashing into a surrounding fence and flinging passengers onto the ground.
The incident happened at Happy Land Amusement Park in Manikkal, Kerala, with three adults and two teenagers taken to hospital.
One woman suffered serious injuries and was transferred to a larger hospital, while the other four were reportedly stable, with some suffering fractures.
Preliminary findings suggest faulty welding joints and supporting structures may have caused the ride to collapse.
