The home of famous composer, Jim Steinman has been listed for sale – alongside his possessions, including the piano he wrote hit Celine Dion and Meatloaf songs on.
Steinman, who died in April 2021, penned hit single ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ for Bonnie Tyler, the chart-topping ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’ for Celine Dion and the iconic ‘I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)’ for Meatloaf.
Based in Ridgefield, Connecticut, US, the two-bedroom cottage that he lived in for nearly 30 years is listed for $3.95 million.
The sale is believed to include all of the art, designer clothing, and instruments inside – including the piano he wrote the famous anthems on.

The listing, which is held by Laura Ancona of William Pitt Sotheby’s Realty, reads: “From the time Jim acquired the quaint country cottage originally located on the property, it became his personal sanctuary where he envisioned and built his masterful home and studio that served to inspire artistic creation and joyful entertaining.
“Jim took great pride in every object that you will see in his home, which served as the backdrop to his life & work.
“To honour Jim’s legacy, it is the estate’s intention to find the next custodian who will be enthralled by the transformative power of Jim’s home and art.
“Jim commissioned prestigious New England architect, Rob Bramhall, to execute his vision.
“Jim spent over $6 million in the construction alone, and his divine collections are truly priceless.
“The sum total of the individual components in this offering is believed to far exceed the list price, but the intention is to honour Jim by keeping his sanctuary intact.”
Steinman also composed hits for Air Supply, Barry Manilow, the Sisters of Mercy, Take That, and Boyzone.
His former home is currently available for $3,950,000.
