A young man died in mid-air during a bungee jump after suffering a heart attack.
The 23-year-old thrill-seeker did it over a ravine.
But he fell ill and died and his lifeless body was seen dangling from a crane.
The unnamed victim carried out the bungee jump at the Cajón del Maipo canyon near Santiago, Chile.
Firefighters from San José de Maipo cut down the victim’s body from the bungee cord.
Public prosecutor Juan Cheuquiante arrived at the scene to gather information.
It remains unclear whether the young man had an underlying health problem before taking part in the jump.
The victim, who came from the city of Talca, was visiting the attraction with his mother and sister.
An investigation into his death has been launched.
