A student found herself bursting with laughter when she received an unexpected windfall of 30 toasties through her Too Good To Go order at Starbucks.

Thuyet Nguyen, who only parted with £3.35 for the mystery bag on the app, was pleasantly surprised.

The application offers discounted food from various chains and restaurants to prevent wastage, though the contents remain undisclosed until collection.

Nguyen placed her order via the app at the Starbucks situated on the campus of Hertfordshire University in Hatfield.

Upon her arrival to collect her order on April 29th, Monday, she was met with sheer disbelief as the staff handed over a hefty assortment of unsold paninis.

“It was my first time trying it,” she mentioned, referring to her debut experience with the app.

Among the plethora of offerings were tuna melts, ham and cheese, and even vegan alternatives.

Each toasted sandwich was neatly packaged in a brown paper bag, devoid of the Starbucks logo, which Thuyet speculated might be due to the small scale of the Starbucks outlet on her university campus.

Reflecting on her unexpected windfall, she expressed her astonishment, saying, “I was in shock. I didn’t know they gave me that much. Maybe paninis were not sold well that day.”

Thuyet went on to share the wealth, distributing some among friends while her family enjoyed them for lunch over several days.

Unfortunately, despite their generosity, they didn’t encounter any homeless individuals in town that day to share the surplus with.

Thuyet’s post featuring her extensive panini collection garnered reactions from fellow Too Good To Go users.

Melanie Smith expressed surprise, saying, “What the heck. Hope you like paninis.”

Jen Marsh quipped, “Winner winner panini dinner,”
