A man narrowly escaped a huge crocodile’s powerful jaws after getting dangerously close to the beast.
Terrifying footage shows the man crouching just inches away from the basking 10ft reptile on a grassy riverbank.
Suddenly, the monster lunges and snaps as it tries to catch the reckless individual between its teeth.

The brazen thrill-seeker is then forced to scramble out of its way and somehow manages to escape unharmed, as reported by Need To Know.
The man, who is said to have been homeless and under the influence at the time, had approached the creature on the banks of the Cuale River in Mexico’s Jalisco State.

The incident happened near the mouth of the waterway, an area popular with tourists and locals, reports say. A sign visible in the video reads: “Tequila Tasting.”
The croc had reportedly been prowling the waters for a number of months, but its free-reign was cut short when it was captured by lifeguards and Green Patrol officers on 4 November.
It was subsequently released it into the nearby Ameca River.
Just weeks earlier, another man was filmed entering the same river and harassing another crocodile in front of dozens of tourists. On that occasion, a confrontation was avoided after the creature swam away without attacking.
It’s unknown whether the two incidents involved the same man, or the same crocodile.
Mexican authorities have warned the public to never approach, feed or provoke the deadly creatures, which are responsible for around 1,000 deaths worldwide each year.
