In a thrilling showdown at the O2 Arena in London, 17-year-old Luke Littler clinched victory in the Premier League Darts final against the world No.1 Luke Humphries, earning an impressive £275,000 in prize money.
Littler’s performance was highlighted by a remarkable nine-dart leg, which was hailed as “the greatest moment ever witnessed” by former Premier League champion Glen Durrant.
The final began evenly, with both players tied at 5-5 after the break. However, Littler electrified the audience with a perfect nine-dart leg. Both players kicked off the leg with 180s, but Littler’s precision saw him hit another three perfect darts.

When Humphries failed to add to his initial four T20s, Littler seized the opportunity, hitting T20, T19, and finally pinning D12 to complete the nine-darter, igniting the crowd.
Humphries, the reigning world champion, graciously acknowledged Littler’s feat by applauding and congratulating his opponent. Despite a cagey start, the final turned into a classic, with both players breaking each other’s throws before the interval.
Humphries held his nerve in the eighth leg to level the scores with a checkout of 116, but Littler’s momentum was unstoppable.
After his nine-darter, Littler surged ahead, winning the next two legs to lead 8-5. Humphries struggled to recover, and Littler maintained his advantage to secure an 11-7 victory.
Littler’s triumph silenced critics who had doubted his readiness for the tournament following his breakthrough at the Ally Pally last year.
In his victory speech, Littler addressed his doubters with a confident “Hello!” as he hoisted the trophy, affirming his status as a rising star in the darts world.
