She suffered “disfiguring burns” after the force of the explosion hit her in the face.
The influencer, who also works as a makeup artist and model, had to shave off what was left of her hair.

Her parents suffered the worst and ended up in the ICU.
Tong’s dad, who reportedly sparked the blast when he lit a cigarette, was left with severely charred skin all over his body.
He required a large area of skin grafting, and has since been moved to a general ward.

Her mother was also seriously injured and remains in the ICU.
The explosion took place at their home in Shenyang City in north-eastern China.
In a video this week, Tong explained that the blast happened while she was editing a social media clip on 31 March.

She said the family’s medical bill had already reached over £51,567 (CNY 500,000).
Tong said: “My whole family was injured and the only thing left is the medical expenses, which are like a bottomless pit.”
As a result, the disfigured model asked her followers for help to cover the costs.

She cannot return to work due to her injuries and the only thing she can do is film their recovery process.
She has reportedly raised around £30,908 (CNY 300,000) through her online activity and crowdfunding campaign, as reported by Need To Know.
Many fans questioned her video requests and accused her of using her injuries to gain sympathy and make money.
In response, Tong posted a video to explain that her images are all real and from personal experience and not manipulated or deliberately packaged.

She said: “Some people are questioning whether or not I was acting, but I was injured from head to toe.
“So where was the need for me to pretend?”
An investigation into the house explosion is ongoing.
