A mum has revealed that she’s been banned from her son’s playgroup as she spends hours getting “dolled up” and wears revealing clothes to pick him up – and other mums think she’s out to steal their husbands.
Jodie Weston is known for her stints on Channel 5’s Rich Kids Go Skint, Rich Holiday Poor Holiday and BBC’s Eating with My Ex.
The 30-year-old’s controversial lifestyle, opinions and lavish spending have left a sour taste in many people’s mouths.
And now, she’s seen banned from her son’s, Koa-Zayde, aged two, playgroup as her outfit choices have been deemed “inappropriate” by fellow mums.
“I love getting dolled up to do fun activities with my son,” the DJ and influencer, from London, told Need To Know.
“It’s a few hours of the day where I can spend it all on myself, which is a rarity nowadays.
“I get to make myself look like the best version of me – and it’s not for anyone else’s approval – but for my own self-confidence only.
“But some mums have gotten the hump and think I’m doing it to steal their husbands away from them.
“Just because I put on a low-cut vest top doesn’t mean I’m trying to flaunt my assets.
“And a lacy leather corset with skin-tight trousers is a staple in my wardrobe.
“What am I meant to do? Have a load of separate clothes that don’t upset them?
“I can’t help the way my body looks – and it’s not my fault I look better than them.
“I feel awful about being banned, but I am really passionate about maintaining my identity, especially after becoming a mum.
“I shouldn’t have to sacrifice being glamorous just because I have a child.”
Jodie – who believes she looks like a younger Dolly Parton – says the biggest issue – and the main reason she believes the ban took place – is her swimming costume.
When taking Koa-Zayde for lessons, she had fellow parents give her “dirty looks” and make snide remarks.
She said, “I’ve been told to wear a more modest swimsuit before.
“My boobs did keep popping out, but it is what it is – they’re enormous.
“I had one mum tell me to go to Sports Direct and get a proper costume.
“So many of them eyeball me, looking me up and down with disgust.
“I also had one awkward moment recently where my lashes couldn’t fit in the goggles as they were too big.
“They were flapping about in the wind for the whole lesson.
“One mum said: ‘I think you’re going to take off flying with those things.’
“I didn’t find it funny; I just brushed it off.”
Jodie also gets “trolled” daily for her body shape.
She says that childbirth essentially gave her a “free boob job” – going from a C cup to an E.
It’s left her with harassing comments from people online and dirty looks from other mums.
She added, “All people seem to notice now is my boob size.
“I feel comfortable with my body, but I’ve felt the need to speak with doctors about getting them reduced.
“At first, I loved my pregnancy boobs, but now, they’re a hindrance.
“I feel ungrateful to the universe, though.
“But it’s causing too much hassle for me in all aspects of life.
“My content is often censored on social media, and it’s just my body wearing clothes.
“It doesn’t seem like I’m accepted anywhere.”
