A pampered rabbit taken from a breeding farm is up for adoption, however she requires a 6ft tall shed with at least 60 square ft of space.

Ella is now looking for a new home but her owner will need to make a few home adjustments to suit her needs.

The lop cross requires at the very least a 6ft tall shed with 60 square feet of room for applications to even be considered.

A six by two by two hutch with covered floor space and 3ft in height would also be suitable for the three-year-old.

The new requirements are part of the recent Rabbit Welfare campaign on giving these animals a happy healthy environment.

The lop cross was taken from a breeding farm and was put into RSPCA care on 4 October, as reported by Need To Know.

The owner’s daughter became allergic to Ella and reached out for her to be rehomed.

When arriving in care the three-year-old had a solid mass on her uterus because she had not been neutered earlier.

The rabbit was vaccinated, microchipped and neutered which thankfully helped her recover well.

If the animal had not gone into care the mass would have caused suffering and potentially loss of life.

Ella is currently located at the Macclesfield rehoming branch.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “Ella is a friendly girl.

“A good hay eater and enthusiastic about food.

“She likes to rearrange and throw her toys around if they’re not where she wants them.

“She’s looking for a hus-bun to share her interior designs with.

“Outdoor housing requirement is a minimum 6ft shed/house or 6 x 2 x 2 hutch with a minimum of 60 sq. feet of secure covered floor space, normally a run and it has to be 3ft in height attached securely to the rabbit house, with ideally but not mandatory, the freedom to a secure garden/alternative area for stimulation; exercise, space and enrichment are most important.

“Indoor housing requirement is a minimum of 60 square feet of floor space 24/7.”
