A male “ally” was expelled from a feminist march after bumping into his ex, who confronted him over unpaid child support.
The man attended the International Women’s Day march in Tlaxcala, Mexico, on Sunday (8 Mar) with his girlfriend.
Topless, his hands were bound behind his back with a rope, which his companion held, leading him like a hostage – or an animal.

The phrase “I stay silent so they can speak” was painted across his back in red, as reported by Need To Know.
While signalling his allyship, another woman spotted him and immediately confronted him, accusing him of failing to pay maintenance for their nine-year-old child.
His companion tried to intervene, but footage shows the woman shouting at her: “What do you know? He has a child with me.”
Other protesters quickly gathered around, chanting in unison: “Out! Out!”
The man obeyed, leaving the march with his girlfriend trailing behind, still holding the end of the makeshift leash.
“What every ‘ally’ is really like,” wrote one person online.

A second viewer added: “Hilarious! I know people who go around acting all feminist, and they do the same thing.”

And another commented: “You’ve got to have next to no dignity to let someone be led around tied up like a dog at a protest. He says it’s to ‘give women a voice’, but to me, it just looks like a pretty sad spectacle.
“On the other hand, if the child maintenance claim is true, you’ve got to take responsibility. If you’re a man enough to sleep with someone, you’re a man enough to deal with the consequences.”
