Luckily they had the correct clothing for the conditions.
They were on Glyder Fach, Snowdonia, at the time.
Bizarrely, just two days before walkers there were soaking up spring sunshine wearing just T-shirts.

Average temperatures in April are usually about five degrees.
Mountain instructor Richard Bale, of Snowdonia Walking and Climbing, said it was best to always be prepared.
“The blizzard felt like we were back in December,” he told Need To Know.
“I was on the same hill in a just a T-shirt two days before.

“You just have to be prepared.
“On Tuesday and Wednesday I had hardly anything with me as the forecast was good.
“But by Saturday I had to take loads of stuff with me.
“You don’t carry a load of unnecessary gear around if you know you’re not going to need it and the weather usually does as it’s forecast.
“It can change quickly but it’s usually predicted so shouldn’t be a surprise.”
