One man in particular appears to be ganged up on, with punches and kicks exchanged as the crowd looks on in shock.
The melee took place at a viewpoint in the Taishan Scenic Area, in China’s Shandong province, at around 5am on Saturday (25 Apr).
The confrontation reportedly began as an argument between several tourists over prime spots to watch the sunrise.
Some online commentators claimed the man who was first pushed dragged others down with him and struck bystanders, triggering the fight.
Others said he had tried to force his way into an already overcrowded area, as reported by Need To Know.
When contacted by local media, officials from the Taishan Scenic Area confirmed that no one was injured and said the dispute was resolved on site.
They added that visitor numbers were extremely high that day and that crowd control during peak hours was insufficient.
They said that going forward, additional staff would be deployed to key locations to improve order and ensure visitor safety.
