A gaggle of geese – including goslings – held up traffic near Old Trafford during a Bank Holiday football match.
As Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2 in the Premier League kick about on 3 May, something much more heart-stopping was happening nearby.
Drivers were held up in a sudden traffic jam; due to a gaggle of geese occupying Trinity Way.
In a clip, a stream of cars can be seen backing up along the busy road.
As the camera zooms in, a group of geese, including what appears to be a mum, dad and their six babies, waddle along.
Vehicles begin to slowly edge closer to the birds and carefully manoeuvre around them to go past.
The geese quicken their pace and reach safety at a patch of grass to the side of the road.
As they do, the flow of traffic begins once again.
28-year-old Chloe filmed the tear-jerking scene from her flat window.
“I was in my flat looking out the window and noticed all the traffic had come to a stop – which seemed a bit odd at first,” she told Need To Know.
“I kept watching to see what was going on and then realised there were these baby geese slowly crossing the road.
“Everyone had just paused and was letting them get across safely.
“It was one of those really random moments you don’t expect to see, especially from your window.
“But it was actually quite nice and a bit funny as well.
“I didn’t expect it at all, so I grabbed my phone and filmed it.”
