A British influencer with 38,500 followers whose “huge” six-week pregnancy bump went viral has hit back at trolls who insisted it was “just bloat”.

Georgia Simone Pitt started hiding her stomach at work just weeks after discovering she was pregnant following a previous miscarriage.

The 32-year-old shared a TikTok showing how she concealed her growing bump with oversized jumpers and long cardigans while working at a London solicitor firm.

The clip, captioned “me hiding my huge 6 week bump at work”, has since racked up more than 252,300 likes and 649 comments.

Georgia said she first found out she was pregnant at just three weeks and five days.

By around six weeks, she felt she was already noticeably bigger.

Georgia, from Essex, told Jam Press: “I started hiding it at around six weeks because I felt I was extremely bloated.

“I hid it from work for two reasons – firstly, I was so early and secondly because I had a miscarriage four months previously whilst I was at work, so I wanted to ensure the baby had a heartbeat before telling anyone at work.”

The legal PA said becoming pregnant during colder weather made it easier to cover up the changes to her body.

She said: “Thankfully I fell pregnant in October, so it was a lot easier than if I fell pregnant in the summer. A lot of jumpers and long cardigans.”

But despite her efforts, Georgia said colleagues quickly became suspicious.

She said: “Unfortunately people still noticed and were asking me directly around nine weeks if I was pregnant.”

The mum-to-be said she eventually told people at work earlier than she originally planned because of fears surrounding another miscarriage.

Georgia said: “In the end, I told people around eight to nine weeks and let the bump “free” at 11 weeks.

“I told people earlier than I wanted to because of my previous miscarriage, so I wanted the support in the event it would happen again, but equally I wish I could have had that time to myself.”

Georgia says she understands why many women choose to hide pregnancies in the early stages.

She added: “I feel conflicted, I understand why women feel the need to hide their pregnancies due to pressures but thankfully for me personally, I have a good working relationship with my firm and my team.”

Despite receiving support online, Georgia also faced mocking comments from trolls who claimed her bump was not real.

One person said: “It’s not the baby bump I’d be worried about.”

A second person added: “THAT. IS. NOT. A. PREGNANCY. BELLY. It is you, you just have a tummy. At 6 weeks baby is a size of pea (just one pea). Congratulations!”

And someone else said: “It’s not even the size of a blueberry, that’s not a baby bump, it’s just bloating.”

A fourth person added: “You know you’re supposed to in fact inform your work as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed, yes?”

While someone else said: “Is this your 2nd baby? I looked pregnant as soon as I peed on the stick.”

Georgia said the criticism does not affect her, adding: “Thankfully I have thick skin so people mocking my pregnancy doesn’t affect me.

“People who want to mock or put down a pregnant woman are unhappy with their own lives.”

Now 32 weeks pregnant, Georgia says scans show her baby is measuring normally despite her larger bump.

She said: “Even now I am having growth scans because, although the baby is on the 50th centile and measuring average, I am extremely big. The baby has a lot of room I suppose.”
